I've spent over 13 years working in photography and weddings are where I get to do my favourite thing: hang out with lovely people and make photographs that tell the story of a brilliant day.

I want your wedding photographs to feel like you — and I want having me there to feel like having another friendly face around, rather than someone constantly pointing a camera at you.

I AM THE RIGHT PHOTOGRAPHER FOR YOU IF…

You want loads of natural, candid photographs.
My approach is to blend in, be a fly-on-the-wall and capture the laughs, tears, hugs, chaos and little in-between moments, while being someone you can actually chat to, have a laugh with and feel comfortable around.

You want authentic portraits that actually feel like you.
If “feel like you” means being calm and relaxed, then we’ll be calm and relaxed. If it means being fun, silly or unconventional, then we’ll jump, spin, skip, throw, carry and run. I don’t create highly curated, editorial, fashion-magazine-style photoshoots — that’s not me. I want my photography to feel real and show your true personality. I’m looking to create genuine smiles and laughter rather than forced, trendy poses.

You're not necessarily always super confident in front of a camera.
Don't worry — most people aren't. I will be easy-going and help you feel comfortable. Most of the day I’ll do my best to blend in and capture candids. For your couple portraits I won’t get too in-your-face, I prefer to stand further away and zoom in, giving you room to breathe, move around, talk to each other and make each other laugh whilst I catch you naturally

You want your wedding photographed as a whole story.
From the big moments to the tiny things you didn't even notice happening — all the people, atmosphere and memories that make your day yours. I always take a documentary approach to shooting.

You like warm, bright and natural photography.
Plus plenty of high-contrast black and whites when the moment calls for it.

ABOUT ME PERSONALLY…

I’m incapable of having just one creative hobby.
Once I learn how to do something, I immediately want to learn something additional. I’ve taught myself to DJ, design graphics, make animations, as well as shoot and edit video. I can’t draw though. My drawing is genuinely terrible.

I’m happiest somewhere I’ve never been before.
I love travelling, hiking, camping, cycling and wild swimming, and I’m quite happy doing all of them in questionable weather. I’m always looking for somewhere new to explore or something slightly ridiculous to do. My idea of a good holiday probably involves a map, walking boots and an unnecessarily early alarm.

I’m very good at talking to people.
I’m pretty relaxed and easy-going, and I genuinely enjoy meeting people. I want you to feel comfortable having me around on your wedding day. Whether that means leaving you alone to enjoy a moment, getting involved when I can help, or having a laugh with your friends and family. I’ll be there when you need me and out of the way when you don’t.

A BACKGROUND IN THE COMMERCIAL SPACE

When I’m not shooting weddings, I’m usually shooting in commercial studios for brands.

I’ve spent over a decade working in commercial photography and image production, creating everything from fashion and lifestyle imagery to still life, beauty and product photography. I’ve worked with brands including Debenhams, John Lewis, Disney, Lookfantastic, Joules and Myprotein, among many others.

I also have a First Class Honours degree in BA Media Production, with a background rooted in visual storytelling. That experience has shaped the way I approach weddings too — looking beyond individual photographs to capture the people, atmosphere and little moments that tell the story of the day.
